I used This pin as a base for my batch of condensed cream of chicken soup, and I love it! I used slightly different ingredients, so here is my version:

Ingredients (makes double batch):

5 cups water

Better than buillion chicken base to taste (approx. $0.50)

3 cups milk (approx. $1)

1.5 cups whisk bliss, or gluten free all-purpose flour (approx. $1.50)

Johnny’s garlic spread to taste

Montreal steak seasoning to taste

Total cost: approx $3


In large saucepan, dissolve chicken base in water, then add 1 cup milk, and bring to a low boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low.

  In a medium bowl, whisk the whisk bliss and seasonings together, then pour in remaining milk. Which until smooth (should be somewhat thick). 

Pour whisk bliss mixture into the saucepan with broth mixture. Whisk/stir so constantly while simmering, until mixture is smooth and thick, approx. 10 minutes.


Use immediately in a recipe as needed, or cover and store in refrigerator for up to one week.

I love that I have an easy and relatively cheap way to use gluten free (and relatively non-processed) cream of chicken soup in recipes! 🙂
